Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Field Operator for our client’s operations team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of wells and field equipment while supporting daily production objectives. The Field Operator plays a critical role in safeguarding people, equipment, and the environment through strict adherence to operating procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

This position requires strong operational awareness, hands‑on equipment experience, and a proactive approach to safety, maintenance, and communication.

  • Pay Rate: $45.00/hr

  • Location: Bonnyville, AB or Cold Lake, AB

  • Shift: 14 days on / 14 days off  

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 1-year contract

Responsibilities:

Operations & Equipment

  • Operate wells and field equipment in line with approved operating procedures and daily operational plans

  • Perform continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to identify abnormalities, risks, or optimization opportunities

  • Provide accurate field data related to well performance, production rates, and equipment condition

  • Ensure wellhead and surface equipment are in proper working condition prior to intervention or well work activities

  • Provide operational support to ongoing well intervention and well work operations

Maintenance & Equipment Care

  • Function as an Equipment Care Technician, performing basic maintenance and minor corrective actions

  • Coordinate, monitor, and control maintenance activities in alignment with corrective, predictive, and preventive plans

  • Report alarms, emergency conditions, or safety system outages immediately

  • Take product samples for laboratory analysis and perform basic field laboratory testing

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

  • Implement daily objectives related to safety, health, environment, security, and housekeeping

  • Actively participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency response activities

  • Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to reduce risks and enhance operational safety

  • Report incidents in accordance with incident reporting guidelines and escalate as required

  • Maintain a strong safety culture and promote SHE standards within the work team

Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain clear communication with the Operations Shift Supervisor on all operational activities

  • Ensure thorough and accurate shift handovers to maintain operational continuity

  • Maintain detailed and accurate logbook entries of operational events, deviations, and abnormal conditions

  • Support effective communication across teams to ensure timely resolution of issues

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completed secondary education with prior experience as a Field Technician or Field Operator

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of safety, health, and environmental awareness with the ability to promote safe practices

  • Working knowledge of pipeline and field operations

  • Understanding of operations and safety management systems

  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness and response procedures

  • Ability to interpret project philosophy, design specifications, and operational documentation

  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and commercial agreements

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
