FACULTY OVERVIEW:
The Faculty of Trades and Technology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University isn't your average trade school. KPU is the place where thought meets action, so all our trades programs and courses integrate theory with practical hands-on training.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Faculty of Trades & Technology is currently seeking a Non-Regular (contract) Electrical Construction instructor to provide short-term delivery of entry level and apprenticeship training, which may extend from a single day to several weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum qualifications include a BC Certificate of Qualification (BC TQ), (Red Seal preferred), or a Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement (IP RSE) from another jurisdiction.
- A minimum of five years’ current industry experience as an Industrial or Construction Journeyperson.
- Also required is the knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with students.
- Preference will be given to those applicants with a demonstrated record of teaching successfully and two (2) or more years’ supervisory or administrative experience.

SALARY INFORMATION:
Placement on the salary scale will be dependent on level of education and relevant teaching experience. Advancement up the pay scale is based on FTE and employment status.
