Adecco is currently hiring an Daycare Worker for a full-time position in Gold River, BC. This opportunity is ideal for a caring and dependable individual who is passionate about supporting children’s development and contributing to a safe, engaging, and culturally sensitive daycare environment.

As a Daycare Worker, you will support children’s day-to-day success in the daycare centre by assisting with the implementation of developmentally appropriate programs and activities. You will work closely with the daycare team to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children while fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour

  • Location: Gold River, BC

  • Schedule: Full-time

  • Contract: Permanent

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and implementing daycare programs and activities that are developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive

  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for children

  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the daycare environment

  • Guide, demonstrate, and encourage children’s daily activities and development

  • Assist with parent questions and concerns and refer them to the Daycare Supervisor when appropriate

  • Document observations of children and complete reports as required

  • Collaborate with the daycare team to support and implement program improvements

  • Ensure all daycare policies, rules, and guidelines regarding developmentally appropriate behaviour are followed

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with parents and caregivers

  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe daycare environment

  • Perform other daycare-related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Certified Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA – two-year certification completed) or currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education (ECE) program

  • Familiarity with BC Child Care Licensing Regulations

  • Strong ability to connect with children and create engaging activities that support their development

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks

  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude

  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality when working with children and families

  • Must obtain RCMP clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required

  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada.
