Adecco is currently hiring a Customer Service Assistant for our client in Vancouver, BC. Our client is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individual to provide temporary coverage for a retail gift shop during employee absences, vacation periods, and other staffing needs.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with the public, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to a welcoming retail environment.

  • Pay Rate: $18.50/hour

  • Location: Vancouver, BC

  • Shift: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Job type: Temporary

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and deliver exceptional customer service

  • Assist customers with product inquiries and purchase decisions

  • Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system and process transactions accurately

  • Handle cash, debit, and credit card payments

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment

  • Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management

  • Provide general information and assistance to visitors

  • Support opening and closing procedures as required

  • Follow workplace policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude

  • Comfortable handling cash and operating POS systems

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Reliable, flexible, and available to work on short notice when needed

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Interest in arts, culture, tourism, or visitor services is considered an asset
