Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Civil Engineer to support the engineering design and delivery of large-scale industrial and heavy industrial site development projects. This role involves designing and coordinating bulk earthworks, site grading, stormwater management systems, and integrated surface and subsurface utilities within complex, multidisciplinary environments.

You will collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams to deliver constructible, coordinated, and high-quality civil engineering solutions while supporting projects through design, execution, and construction phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the engineering design and delivery of large-scale industrial site development projects, including bulk earthworks, site grading, and integrated surface and subsurface servicing systems

  • Develop, review, and coordinate stormwater management system designs, including collection, conveyance, detention, and controlled discharge

  • Design and coordinate sanitary, domestic water, fire water, and underground utility infrastructure across complex, multi-use industrial sites

  • Prepare and review civil engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements

  • Coordinate closely with structural, electrical, process, environmental, and other disciplines to deliver integrated and clash-free designs

  • Manage civil design interfaces and resolve spatial, operational, and constructability challenges

  • Participate in multidisciplinary design coordination meetings, workshops, and design reviews

  • Contribute to project planning activities, including design schedules and work sequencing, to support on-time delivery

  • Provide engineering support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with site-related technical issues

  • Prepare and contribute to technical reports, design memoranda, and supporting documentation throughout the project lifecycle

  • Adapt to evolving project requirements while maintaining quality, safety, and technical integrity in a fast-paced industrial environment

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

  • Typically 4–8 years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably in industrial, heavy industrial, or large-scale site development projects

  • Eligible for registration, or registered, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.), as applicable

  • Demonstrated experience with bulk earthworks, site grading, and stormwater management system design

  • Practical experience coordinating underground utilities, sanitary systems, and water infrastructure within complex sites

  • Strong understanding of constructability, multidisciplinary coordination, and design interface management

  • Proven ability to prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation

  • Proficiency with civil design software such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD; experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling is considered an asset

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project scopes and schedules

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
