Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Civil CAD Technologist / Civil Drafter to support industrial development and heavy industrial projects. This role is responsible for preparing detailed civil construction drawing packages that support earthworks, site servicing, stormwater management, underground utilities, and access infrastructure.

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and other technical disciplines to ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, constructible, and aligned with overall project design intent.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and coordinate detailed civil construction drawing packages for industrial and large-scale development projects

• Produce accurate and well-organized plans, profiles, and sections for grading, earthworks, underground utilities, stormwater systems, drainage, roads, and site infrastructure

• Apply established drafting standards, layering conventions, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality

• Coordinate closely with civil engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary project teams

• Integrate inputs from structural, process, electrical, and environmental disciplines into civil drawings while maintaining clarity and constructability

• Identify, flag, and assist in resolving design clashes and coordination issues across complex industrial sites

• Manage drawing revisions throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proper version control and document accuracy

• Support project coordination by issuing drawings, responding to internal markups, and tracking design changes

• Perform quality control reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to issuance for review or construction

• Support alignment between engineering design intent and construction documentation in fast-paced industrial project environments

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or a related discipline

• Typically 3–7 years of experience in civil drafting, preferably on industrial, heavy industrial, or large-scale site development projects

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with demonstrated experience producing civil construction drawings

  • Practical experience drafting:

  • Earthworks and grading plans

  • Stormwater and drainage systems

  • Underground utilities

  • Access roads and site infrastructure

• Solid understanding of civil drawing standards, constructability requirements, and multidisciplinary coordination practices

• Experience identifying drafting and coordination issues and working collaboratively with engineers and designers to resolve them

• High attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy and quality standards

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, revisions, and deadlines effectively

• Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
