Purpose

 

Contributes to the overall success of Global Corporate Functions Technology by ensuring that specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

Accountabilities 

 

•    Champions a customer‑focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. 
•    Supports and collaborates with L6–L7 team members, contributing to a high‑performance and inclusive work environment.
•    Performs business analysis activities, including understanding business objectives, planning, eliciting, scoping, analyzing, documenting, prioritizing requirements, managing changes, maintaining traceability, managing backlogs, conducting stakeholder analysis, and supporting effort estimation for medium or large initiatives or projects 
•    Perform data mappings, reverse engineering, documenting as-is flows, performing gap analysis and elicit requirements to support to-be end state high medium or large initiatives or projects. 
•    Contributes to and maintains a repository of reusable requirements documentation in accordance with the Bank’s standards to support future initiatives. 
•    Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of productions systems. 
•    Performs system troubleshooting and problem‑solving across platform and application domains. 
•    Provide production support and ad-hoc inquiries from business stakeholders on the technology solutions for Global Corporate Functions team. 
•    Take the lead on solving complex technical issues and implement complex long-term solutions. 
•    Provide on-going support (system integration, perform initial diagnosis, fix issues, and suggest robust solutions. 
•    Serves as the technology support point of contact for users of the applicable systems .

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)

 

•    2+ years in Business Analyst role within a Financial Services Institution with experience in Regulatory and Compliance projects
•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    Experienced using technologies such as SQL, Java, Python, Nifi, JSON and other scripting languages 
•    Proven experience in business solutions and project management.
•    Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate business requirements to technical teams
•    Analytical and detail oriented.  Ability to solve technical problems/processes and understand complex details
•    Possess a very good understanding of current IT practices, systems development techniques, especially requirements specification and testing methodologies and keep current with rapidly changing technology
•    Knowledge of financial instruments within at least one financial market area (e.g. equities or fixed income, and corresponding derivatives including options, credit default/total return swaps, futures) would be an asset
•    1+ years as people manager would be an asset
