Adecco is currently hiring a full-time highly skilled Senior Technical Solutions Developer to join the Business Performance team within the Business Solutions department for our client in Calgary, AB. This role focuses on the technical development and engineering of solutions that enable system integration, data optimization, and process automation.

You should be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong programming capabilities and deep industry experience in oil and gas, particularly in land and well data systems, analytics, and reporting.

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 8-month contract

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement business process, system, and data automation solutions

  • Gather, document, and translate technical requirements into effective solution designs

  • Lead development activities including coding, testing, validation, and deployment

  • Perform advanced data analysis, technical reviews, and solution optimization

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery

  • Build scalable solutions that enhance system efficiency, reporting, and business performance

  • Support ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of deployed solutions

  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and quality of data across systems and reporting outputs

  • Deliver technical expertise in support of business initiatives and operational improvements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Petroleum Engineering, Business Analysis, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the oil and gas industry

  • Proven experience developing and deploying data-driven and automation solutions

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and influence technical outcomes

  • Experience with land and well data systems is required

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines

  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)

  • Azure application development

  • Python scripting

  • Spotfire (data visualization & analytics)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset

  • Ability to work independently while managing timelines and priorities effectively

  • Advanced capabilities in technical analysis, solution design, data validation, and unit testing

  • Experience working with upstream oil & gas systems, including:

    • WellView

    • SiteView

    • CS Land

    • Execute

    • StackDx

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
