Adecco is currently hiring an Account Review Specialist for a contract opportunity in Toronto, ON. This hybrid role is ideal for a detail-oriented financial services professional with experience reviewing complex account documentation, managing regulatory requirements, and delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.

In this position, you will review and analyze complex account opening documentation, ensure compliance with regulatory and business requirements, communicate with internal partners and clients, and help drive process improvements that enhance the overall client experience.

  • Pay Rate: $21.57/hour

  • Location: Toronto, ON

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Hybrid (4 days in office)

  • Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary Contract

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze complex account opening documentation and supplementary forms with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Review documentation related to QI/FATCA requirements, trusts, RESPs, and other specialized account types.

  • Approve or decline account submissions while meeting established service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Manage mailbox communications and investigate account-related inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Screen corporate and individual client profiles.

  • Communicate deficiencies, rejected submissions, and required next steps clearly and professionally.

  • Provide internal partners with self-service resources to promote digital adoption and improve efficiencies.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to share best practices and improve operational processes.

  • Build strong relationships with operational support teams to better understand business impacts.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal partners on account review processes and requirements.

  • Support clients by providing guidance on complex account review matters.

  • Review restricted accounts and coordinate appropriate next steps with stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the client and employee experience through process enhancements.

  • Generate scheduled and ad hoc reports to support internal and external business needs.

  • Maintain expertise in the organization's Digital Account Opening platform.

  • Draft and update user guides and process documentation as required.

  • Support overtime requirements during peak volume periods.

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving team challenges and improving workflows.

  • Champion positive change related to culture, technology, and operational methodology.

  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Post-secondary education with 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial services, banking, or account administration.

  • Experience reviewing complex financial account documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze documentation accurately.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Strong client service mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to communicate clearly while demonstrating urgency and professionalism.

  • French bilingualism is considered an asset.

  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is considered an asset.

  • Options Licensing Course (OLC) or Options Supervisors Course (OPSC) certification is considered an asset.
