Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Associate Sales Director to join a leading global consumer packaged goods (CPG/FMCG) organization. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving sales growth, revenue performance, and customer partnerships within key retail accounts.

In this role, you will support the Senior National Sales Director in developing and executing sales strategies, leading a team, and building strong relationships with major retail partners. You will also play a key role in forecasting, trade spend management, and joint business planning to deliver impactful commercial results.

  • Pay Rate: $67.31/hour

  • Location: North York, ON

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Support the development and execution of sales strategies, targets, and commercial initiatives

  • Lead and mentor a team of Key Account Managers and analysts

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on retail execution and business objectives

Budget & Forecast Management

  • Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and trade spend planning

  • Ensure alignment between budget allocation and business objectives

  • Monitor financial performance and adjust strategies to optimize results

Client & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners

  • Develop joint business plans and lead negotiations to drive growth

  • Identify opportunities for business expansion, category growth, and operational efficiencies

  • Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external customers

Commercial Planning & Execution

  • Oversee promotional planning and ensure execution aligns with commercial agreements

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies

  • Track and analyze customer performance metrics (sales, inventory, distribution)

  • Support retail strategy and coverage planning for assigned accounts

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide performance insights and reporting to senior leadership

  • Identify gaps in performance and implement corrective action plans

  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and customer engagement

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field

  • 8–15 years of experience in the CPG/FMCG industry

  • Strong knowledge of retail merchandising, distribution, and logistics best practices

  • Proven experience in sales leadership, negotiation, and account management

  • Experience with category management and trade marketing

  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities

  • Ability to manage complex customer relationships and negotiations

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales analytics tools

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
