Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Associate, Program & Events plays a vital role within the Advisor Channel Sales (ACS) Events team, supporting the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of events and programs across RBC Global Asset Management (GAM) channels. This position contributes directly to the team’s operational efficiency by coordinating internal events, dealer-sponsored conferences, and virtual webinars while enhancing internal processes and communications.

This position reports directly to the Associate Director, Program & Events and works collaboratively with a team consisting of Managers, Program & Events and an Analyst, Sales Enablement.

What will you do?

  • Participate in the planning, execution, and reconciliation of internal events, dealer-sponsored conferences, and virtual webinars, ensuring compliance with all Sales Practices & Processes.
  • Effectively collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure all timelines and deliverables are met according to critical paths.
  • Maintain and update resources, templates, and documentation to support consistent event delivery.
  • Centralize team communications by managing the ACS Events calendars and communication platform (Playbook).
  • Leverage internal resources and tools (AI) to identify operational efficiencies and enhance event experience.
  • Provide on-site support for event execution and/or related administrative tasks, as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing)
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in event planning, program coordination or a related role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CRM (Salesforce), and virtual conferencing platforms (Webex).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours and the ability to travel within Canada, as needed (<15%).
  • The successful candidate communicates effectively, takes strong ownership, and seeks opportunities to learn and improve.

Nice to Have

  • Bilingual, English & French.
  • Experience with event management platforms (Stova).
  • Knowledge of the wealth management business and/or National Instrument 81-105.
  • Interested in pursuing event planning designations (CMP, CMM, DES, CED).

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00
