Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Associate Engineer for our client in Burnaby, BC. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative software engineer with expertise in embedded systems, Linux development, AI technologies, and multimedia frameworks to contribute to next-generation AI SoC solutions.

Responsibilities:
Design and implement prototype multimedia acceleration frameworks (audio, image, and video) for AI SoC chips
Design and implement prototype camera systems and ISP firmware for AI SoC platforms
Design and implement middleware solutions for AI SoC chips
Contribute to the definition and design of integrated hardware and software solutions for robotics, high-performance computing (HPC), automotive, and other advanced applications
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative embedded system solutions
Research and propose new ideas to improve system performance and serving efficiency
Support technical documentation, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Contribute to publications and technical findings where applicable
Qualifications and Skills:
Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with a focus on embedded systems and software development
Minimum 3 years of experience programming in C/C++ within a Linux environment
Knowledge of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence
Familiarity with Linux Kernel development and architecture
Strong hands-on programming skills in C++, C, and Python
Experience developing software for embedded systems
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with ARM-based embedded Linux systems is considered an asset
Experience implementing machine learning libraries or frameworks is considered an asset
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative research and development environment
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
