As the Analyst, Workday - Talent, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our Workday system, with a primary focus on the Talent, Performance, Succession, and Employee Listening Survey modules. As part of the People, Technology & Analytics team, this role is a valued member of our team supporting our Human Resources department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Technology & Analytics – Talent, you will leverage your Workday expertise in backend configuration to ensure system integrity, optimal performance, and deliver a positive user experience across the enterprise.
This role is 4 days a week on site at our Brampton Office located at 1 President's Choice Circle.
What You'll Do:
- Participate in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of Workday Talent, Performance, Calibration, Succession, and Survey modules, focusing on core system stability and process improvement.
- Perform day-to-day operational tasks, ensuring smooth workflows, triage and resolve issues for end-users and business partners using sound judgement and exceptional customer service.
- Apply tactical Workday expertise such as loading EIBs, creating notifications, creating and running reports, leveraging calculated fields, and maintaining data hierarchy integrity, including data segmentation by supervisory organizations, job profiles, and custom orgs, etc.
- Ensure comprehensive testing of all configuration changes in a development tenant, by creating and managing test cases, documenting detailed results and resolving defects, while supporting business testers.
- Investigate configuration on Workday User Community to stay up to date on current solutions, required system upgrades and training activities.
- Evaluate and implement new functionality relating to Workday Semi-Annual Releases, including assessing new features and testing new functionality.
What you Bring:
- 1-3 years of progressive experience in HR with a technology backend configuration focus (Workday hands-on experience strongly preferred).
- Post-secondary education in Business, HR, Data Analytics, or Information Systems focus, or equivalent work experience. (CHRP or related designation is an asset)
- Experience configuring HR Technology systems, Workday an asset, that focus on employee and organizational hierarchy structure, talent and performance management, and employee-listening tools. Any experience with an enterprise-wide survey tool is an asset.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
