Purpose


Contributes to the overall success of the GBS in Colombia and the countries we support globally, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Accountabilities 


•    Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
•    Provide business intelligence support through standardized and ad hoc reporting to enable data-driven decision-making.
•    Develop and maintain documentation for processes, queries, and audit trails to ensure operational integrity and compliance with data governance standards.
•    Support periodic client reviews and refresh processes, including: 
Analyzing client activity across multiple systems and platforms.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.
Applying strong attention to detail and adaptability in dynamic scenarios.
Enhancing and documenting review workflows for consistency and efficiency.
•    Manage administrative tasks across regional tracking tools, including access control, data maintenance, monitoring upstream reporting, and performing bulk updates.
•    Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
•    Follow up with internal partners to ensure timely actions on cases requiring their input
•    Produce high-quality, error-free work independently and in a timely manner, meeting expected throughput rates
•    Manage workload effectively to prioritize cases, including ad-hoc requests and projects, to meet business demands
•    Be consistently thorough, accurate, and credible when performing duties
•    Escalate any issues, as appropriate, in a timely manner
•    Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
•    Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information 


1.    An undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred. (in process)
2.    Strong business acumen, judgment, critical thinking, and time management skills. Good interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build consensus and obtain cooperation from clients and colleagues
3.    Basic understanding of the capital markets business and knowledge of the end-to-end workflows among the Front, Middle, and Back Office
4.    Demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, responsiveness, accountability, and ownership.
5.    Quick learning ability to understand policies, procedures, systems, process and controls
6.    Written and verbal proficiency in English is mandatory
7.    Microsoft Office Suite: Excel (Advanced)(must have), Access(nice to have), PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint (including integration with Access or databases).(must have). 
8.    Experience visualization data and Reporting Data. (must have). Min 6 months (internship)
9.    Soft skills: Attention to details, autonomy (independent).
