In this role, you will : 

  • Assist in developing corporate partnerships and workplace campaigns in various public service departments and within the various corporations assigned to you.
  • Organize meetings with campaign management and provide them with the support needed to ensure the success of workplace campaigns in accordance with established objectives.
  • Build and maintain the appropriate relationships inside and outside the Red Cross to expand the corporate donor base for workplace campaigns, corporate giving, and all types of corporate partnerships.
  • Develop, propose, and implement strategies for soliciting corporate donations.
  • Help develop an overall corporate solicitation strategy and prepare the budget.
  • Plan and coordinate proposed fundraisers.
  • Keep activity reports up to date in accordance with established objectives.
  • Train and mentor a team of delegates.
  • Support and participate in local, national, and international Canadian Red Cross fundraising appeals. 

          

What we’re looking for :  

  • An undergraduate degree in a related discipline (marketing, business administration, philanthropy) or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in corporate major gifts development or equivalent professional experience in sales, marketing, business development, and/or fundraising.
  • Knowledge of donor relations principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of database software.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and French.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, discretion, drive, and enthusiasm.
  • Initiative and creativity.
  • Analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

        

Working Conditions :

  • The office is located in Montreal (Nuns’ Island).
  • This position is permanent full time and offers a flexible schedule.
  • The successful candidate must be able to travel within Canada.
  • The successful candidate must be available during local and international relief operations.
