Adecco is actively seeking a licensed 310T Mechanic to join our client’s team, a well-established organization in the Transportation & Fleet Services industry, located in Goderich, Ontario. This full-time role involves performing high-quality repairs, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the fleet. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who values safety, efficiency, and collaboration while supporting seamless day-to-day fleet operations.

  • Pay Rate: $40-$45/hour.

  • Location: Goderich, ON

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm (may vary based on seasonal or operational needs) 

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

  • Perform and oversee routine and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles following established schedules and safety standards

  • Plan, schedule, and track all maintenance activities while maintaining accurate service records for each vehicle

  • Assess and prioritize repairs based on driver reports and daily maintenance logs to ensure timely issue resolution

  • Supervise shop operations and coordinate workflow within the repair bay to maximize efficiency and productivity

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop and surrounding areas

  • Liaise with vehicle manufacturers to ensure all specifications and operational requirements are met

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of spray systems and vehicle accessories to enhance technical proficiency

  • Manage inventory and procurement, including sourcing parts, tracking purchase orders, arranging deliveries, and monitoring pricing benchmarks

  • Collaborate with Dispatch and Customer Service teams to align maintenance schedules with delivery commitments and reduce service disruptions

  • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders such as suppliers, MTO representatives, and manufacturers, addressing warranty and product support issues

  • Perform additional duties as required to support overall fleet operations

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • 310T Truck & Coach Technician License (mandatory)

  • Degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on truck and trailer maintenance experience

  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting abilities

  • Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License (AZ license considered an asset)

  • Experience with chassis and suspension repairs

  • Skilled in diesel engine service and overhauls

  • Proficient with driveline and transmission systems

  • Knowledge of air brake and hydraulic systems

  • Electrical diagnostics and repair experience

  • Familiarity with spray systems and vehicle accessories

  • Fleet and Shop Manager certification (asset)

  • Lift Truck Operator Training (asset)
