A part-time academic is required to teach in-person Spanish 1021.03: Beginning Spanish I (Section 9) Fall Term 2026 (September 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026)

Course Description:
This introductory course is designed for students with little or no prior knowledge of Spanish. It focuses on developing basic communication skills through speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students will learn essential grammar and vocabulary while engaging in everyday topics such as greetings, personal information, daily routines, and preferences. By the end of the course, students will be able to carry out simple conversations, understand short written and oral texts, and write brief paragraphs about familiar topics. In order to fulfill the Bachelor of Arts Language Requirement in Spanish, students need to complete 6 hours of a single language within three semesters.

The Part-Time Academic is responsible for planning and leading individual classes, administering tests, grading assignments, keeping records and the calculation of final grades. The Part-Time Academic is required to be available to students outside of class time.
