Your Role in Supporting Our Members:? 
 VanCity is modernizing financial systems with secure, real-time, and scalable solutions. We are seeking an Integration Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and optimization of secure, real-time backend systems that connect to our financial platforms at scale. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic guidance to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions integrating enterprise platforms, APIs, and third-party services.  

This is a?Full-time, Permanent role will report directly to Senior Manager, Integration Platform. Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position is for an existing vacancy and provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed.

How You'll Make?an?Impact:? 

• Leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade integration solutions, with a strong emphasis on real-time APIs, backend services, and event-driven architectures

• Ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards and best practices; API & Backend Expertise Act as the technical authority for API-first and backend integration design 

• Ensuring seamless End-to-End Integration Design, reliable data flow across internal platforms, core systems, and external partners, supporting both synchronous (API) and asynchronous (event/messaging) integrations. 

• Evolving integration standards, reference architectures, and reusable components to drive consistency, quality, and delivery velocity across teams; Standards, Reusability & Governance Develop 

• Executing an integration platform roadmap focused on modernization, performance, reliability, security, and regulatory compliance

• Leading and mentoring cross-functional engineering teams through the full integration lifecycle from discovery and design through delivery, release, and operational support

• Overseeing cross-functional collaboration partnership closely with Product, Data, Operations, Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure integration solutions meet both technical and business requirements
