Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing and has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Data & Analytics Business Partner to join our growing team. This hybrid role is based out of our Head Office in Surrey, BC.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $106,000- $138,000 with a 35-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity.

As a Manager, Data & Analytics Business Partner, you'll act as a strategic analytics leader embedded within the business, partnering with senior leaders to deliver insights that drive measurable outcomes and shape business decisions.

Why we'll love You:
  • You are a strong analytics leader who thrives on partnering with business leaders to drive decision-makin
  • You bring a consultative mindset and enjoy translating business questions into actionable data insights
  • You have a strong foundation in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, supported by a relevant degree (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics)
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in data analytics or a related discipline, with demonstrated business impact
  • You are experienced in working directly with senior stakeholders and building trusted partnerships
  • You are comfortable working with tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
  • You have experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric
  • You are a strong communicator who can translate complex analytics into meaningful insights for non-technical audiences

Once here, you'll:
  • Act as the primary data and analytics partner for a business unit, building strong relationships with leadership and embedding data into decision-making
  • Design and deliver high-impact analytics and insights that drive measurable business outcomes such as growth, retention, and efficiency
  • Lead strategic data initiatives and develop prototypes that demonstrate business value and can scale into enterprise solutions
  • Improve data literacy and enable self-service analytics by promoting trusted data, tools, and best practices
  • Collaborate with Data Office teams to align analytics solutions with enterprise data platforms and capabilities
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and AI/ML to solve business challenges
  • Contribute to building and scaling the Data & Analytics Business Partner function, with the opportunity to grow and lead a team of analysts over time
