What you will do:

THE REC ROOM GRANVILLE

Our Dishwashers are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional dining experience to each and every guest. The Dishwasher is responsible for the cleaning, storage, and dispatch of all dishes, equipment, and smallwares within the venue. The Dishwasher provides fast and effective cleaning and sanitization of all kitchen utensils and equipment, and maintains the kitchen area, refrigerators and storerooms ensuring cleanliness and tidiness. Hourly Starting Wage: $18.25

In this role, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Ensuring consistently clean and sanitized dishes, utensils and equipment in compliance with all health and safety regulations by ensuring adherence to all sanitary and safe food and dish handling guidelines along with daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
  • Ensuring dishes and equipment are organized and stored in the appropriate locations, minimizing waste and maximizing space
  • Recommending ways to decrease kitchen expenses including breakage control and loss prevention, and maximize departmental productivity without compromising our guests' satisfaction
  • When required to assist with food deliveries or production, ensuring food deliveries have been delivered and stored according to the Company standards and provincial health regulations, and ensuring the proper use of scales and measurements in all recipes, portioning, and food production that you may be required to prepare

Qualifications:

This role may be a perfect fit for you if:  

  • For licensed venues, candidates must be the required age of majority or older
  • You preferably have previous experience in a customer service environment
  • Food Safe certification preferred
  • WHIMIS certificate an asset
  • You have the ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and dishes – lifts and carries supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs., throughout entire shift
  • You are a knowledge-seeker with the ability to learn Dishwasher operations as they affect kitchen and related areas
