Adecco is currently hiring a full-time a Bilingual Field Service Technician (French/English) for a full-time opportunity with our client.

This hands-on, customer-facing role is ideal for a self-driven professional with strong electro-mechanical skills who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and delivering exceptional service in the field.

  • Pay Rate: $47,000 - $48,000/year (based on experience)

  • Location: Saint John, NB

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring all client equipment is functioning properly and expectations are consistently exceeded

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical devices using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Utilize a multi-meter and interpret electrical schematics to identify and resolve technical issues

  • Participate in ongoing training programs (instructor-led, online, and in-house) to develop industry-specific knowledge

  • Meet and maintain key productivity metrics, including:

  • Average of 5 service calls per day

    • 50%+ first-time fix rate

    • Response times within 2–4 hours

    • Effective management of parts usage and associated costs

  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, particularly when working with electrical components

  • Travel to client sites and provide timely service and support

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen (required)

  • Ability to travel to the United States for training (1–2 weeks; locations may include Rochester NY, Texas, or California)

  • Bilingual in French and English (required)

  • Demonstrated electro-mechanical experience, including:

    • Troubleshooting electrical circuits using a multi-meter

    • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics

  • Relevant background may include:

    • Military or veteran experience (electro-mechanical)

    • HVAC technician

    • Cable/internet technician

    • Electrician

    • Automotive mechanic or repair technician

  • Strong time management skills with a high level of reliability and accountability

  • Valid driver’s license with appropriate insurance coverage (MVR required as part of background check)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and performing repetitive movements

  • Ability to drive and travel for more than 50% of the workday

  • Comfortable working in environments involving electrical equipment while adhering to safety protocols

  • A dependable and punctual professional (“early is on time, on time is late”)

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Customer-focused with excellent communication abilities

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field

  • Safety-conscious with attention to detail

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
