SUMMARY - Field Service, Diagnostic Imaging

Our client supports the medical industry across Canada and is recognized as a leader in their area of specialty. On their behalf, we are seeking a Field Service Representative to be based in Edmonton, and will play a key role in delivering technical service and support for diagnostic imaging equipment in Alberta and Saskatchewan. This is a field-based position requiring strong mechanical aptitude, technical capability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service within healthcare environments.  If this matches your background, education and experience, please apply below as directed.


QUALIFICATIONS - Field Service, Diagnostic Imaging

- College diploma in electronics, electronics engineering technology, biomedical technology, biomedical engineering technology, or a related discipline
- Prior field service or diagnostic imaging experience is considered an asset; however, recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to support equipment installation and setup in the field
- Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
- Exposure to imaging modalities such as radiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound, MRI, or nuclear medicine is considered an asset
- Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and DICOM systems is an asset
- Ability to maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan, with occasional travel to the United States as required


RESPONSIBILITIES - Field Service, Diagnostic Imaging

- Perform installation, calibration, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites
- Support mechanical installations and system setup in the field
- Conduct preventive maintenance and respond to both scheduled and unscheduled service calls
- Complete service documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Manage assigned service activities and projects in an efficient and professional manner
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and service standards
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support customer needs outside of regular business hours
