Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Structural Steel Detailer / Project Lead for a permanent opportunity in Tillsonburg, ON. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced structural steel professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects from award through fabrication and site coordination while acting as a key technical bridge between engineering, detailing, fabrication, and field teams.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead structural steel detailing projects from concept through execution while ensuring clean, buildable steel packages and smooth project delivery. You will contribute directly to fabrication efficiency, field coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives while mentoring junior detailers and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Salary: Up to $100,000/year

  • Location: Tillsonburg, ON (commutable from Simcoe, Brantford, Woodstock, and surrounding areas)

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday – Full-time

  • Employment Type: Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Produce and review 3D models, shop drawings, erection drawings, and BOMs for structural steel projects

  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, fabrication teams, and site crews to resolve issues proactively before fabrication or installation

  • Plan and track drawing deliverables, revisions, and material status with internal stakeholders

  • Identify clashes, missing information, and constructability concerns early and drive solutions

  • Mentor junior detailers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to detailing and fabrication workflows

  • Collaborate directly with fabrication shops and field/site teams to ensure successful execution

  • Support project coordination from award through fabrication and site installation

  • Contribute to improving standards, workflows, and detailing processes

Profile sought:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Typically 7+ years of structural steel detailing experience

  • Strong proficiency with Tekla Structures or Autodesk Advance Steel

  • Solid understanding of structural and architectural drawings, connection detailing, and fabrication/erection practices

  • Experience working directly with fabrication shops and field/site teams

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience leading projects or mentoring junior detailers is considered an asset

  • Exposure to miscellaneous metals, platework, and CNC/fabrication workflows is considered an asset

  • Familiarity with AISC/CISC standards and structural steel industry best practices

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
