Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Operations Manager to support an Indigenous-led conservation initiative focused on protecting wild salmon. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of programs aligned with strategic priorities. This is an onsite position requiring reliable transportation.

  • Pay Rate: $90,000 - $105,000/year (based on experience)

  • Location: Gold River, BC

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

Operations & Team Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations and supervise administrative and Guardian Program staff

  • Lead recruitment, performance management, and employee development

  • Foster a positive and inclusive culture aligned with organizational values

Project & Program Management

  • Manage project planning tools, workflows, and implementation activities

  • Support strategic, operational, and seasonal planning initiatives

  • Track grant deliverables and ensure timely reporting

  • Oversee contracts with consultants and external service providers

Financial Oversight

  • Support funding proposals and grant applications

  • Manage purchasing of equipment and supplies

  • Approve purchase orders and invoices within authority limits

  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting and expense tracking

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of operations or supervisory experience (natural resources sector required)

  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field

  • Background in environmental science, resource management, or conservation is an asset

  • Experience working with or for First Nations (required)

  • Strong project management and budgeting experience

  • Knowledge or strong interest in environmental stewardship and conservation

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
