Job Description

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Platform Engineer to support the design, development, and enhancement of our commercial lending platform built on nCino. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions that streamline loan origination, underwriting, and servicing processes.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Platform Development & Customization

  • Design, develop, and deploy solutions on the nCino Bank Operating System built on Salesforce
  • Customize and configure Salesforce and nCino components, including workflows, objects, and UI elements
  • Develop Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integrations to support business requirements
  • Implement and enhance loan origination and servicing workflows within nCino

Requirements Analysis & Design

  • Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Lead development of high-impact enterprise projects by working closely with product owners during requirement definition and platform capability mapping
  • Take ownership of key initiatives by collaborating with analysts, project managers, and integration partners to resolve issues affecting Salesforce sprint deliverables

Integration & APIs

  • Integrate nCino with internal banking systems and third-party platforms
  • Support integration with enterprise platforms using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware
  • Ensure seamless data exchange across systems

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization for Salesforce code
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and release management using CI/CD tools (e.g., Copado)
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support and enhancements
  • Participate in production support to quickly communicate and resolve critical issues

Compliance & Security

  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, security, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to development and security standards
  • Migrate objects between environments per the established Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Agile Collaboration

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet sprint deliverables and project goals

Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively research and present recommendations regarding new features and functionality from nCino releases
  • Stay current with platform updates and best practices

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in Salesforce development
  • Hands-on experience with nCino platform development and configuration
  • Strong experience with Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs)
  • Understanding of commercial lending processes (loan origination, underwriting, servicing)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices for Salesforce development
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II)
  • Familiarity with Copado or Autorabit deployment pipelines
  • Experience with AI development tools (e.g., Agent force, GitHub Copilot)
