Compensation: 

  • $39.59 per hour with full-time hours and overtime opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Driving a Tractor/Trailer, days and times to be determined      
  • Responsible for movement of trailers in the yard
  • Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled
  • Check and maintain fuel and fluids in PBC owned tractors on a daily basis
  • Communicate loading information to and from the Shipping Department
  • Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
  • Day, Night and Weekend Shift Flexibility required
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
  • Stay Compliant with safety standards as per PBC/MOT requirements.  Including Pre/Post trips and ELD’s

Qualifications

  • A valid Class 1 Driver’s license required;
  • A clean abstract as well as a proven safe driving record
  • TDG certificate
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills and professional driver techniques
  • High degree of written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask safely and efficiently; Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to take directions from multiple sources while performing as a team player   
  • Must be able to work shifts and overtime as required
  • Dependable with strong customer focus and the ability to quickly adapt to the changing needs of our internal customers.
  • Candidates will perform a proper brake adjustment; complete a thorough Pre-trip inspection, identifying components most subject to wear.
