Overview

PepsiCo Foods Canada has current openings at the Frito Lay Facility in Cambridge, ON for a Licensed Millwright.  

 

Compensation: $50.37 per hour (Plus shift premiums) 
Shift: Overnight, Mon- Fri (11pm - 7am)

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce unplanned downtime 
  • Carrying out assigned daily maintenance tasks with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency 
  • Responding quickly and effectively to emergency breakdowns and troubleshooting issues as they arise 
  • Supporting root cause analysis efforts and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures 
  • Work collaboratively with operators and other skilled trades across the site to identify and mitigate downtime, safety risks, and quality concerns 
  • Communicating clearly during shift handovers and team meetings to ensure smooth coordination across teams and work orders 
  • Demonstrating strong troubleshooting abilities and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, high-demand environment 
  • Manage through emergency breakdowns 

Qualifications

  • Mandatory: Must hold a valid Millwright (433A) license in the province of Ontario 
  • A secondary trade license (e.g., Electrical, Welding) is an asset and may qualify for additional compensation 
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required  
  • Ability to use machine shop equipment and weld 
  • Strong work ethic, with a positive attitude and motivation to succeed in a team environment 
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs as required 
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability 
  • Solid communication skills and basic computer literacy (e.g., entering work orders, logging maintenance tasks) 
  • Prior experience working with production or packaging equipment in a food manufacturing environment is preferred 
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and recording hours 
  • Must be flexible and available to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the operation
