Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our client’s maintenance team. This role is responsible for designing, assembling, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing industrial and facility electrical systems and equipment.

You will play a key role in supporting production operations, troubleshooting electrical issues, installing new systems, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work on new facility start-ups, upgrades, and high-impact projects in a dynamic industrial environment.

  • Pay Rate: $91,250.00/annually

  • Location: Woodstock, ON

Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices

  • Install, replace, and repair distribution equipment, including:

    • Switchboards, panelboards, and disconnect switches

  • Layout and install new Branch circuitry and support system upgrades

  • Repair and replace electrical wiring, fixtures, and components

Installation & Projects

  • Design and assemble control panels and wiring systems

  • Support facility start-up projects, including:

    • Rigging and wiring

    • Panel layout and installation

    • ESA inspections and compliance

  • Work with project teams to complete installations, upgrades, and process optimization projects

  • Coordinate with contractors and external service providers

Technical & Operational Support

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical drawings

  • Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, sensors, motors (AC/DC), and variable speed drives

  • Monitor production equipment to identify opportunities for improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency

  • Attend daily production meetings and provide input on downtime and performance issues

  • Support annual overhauls and maintenance shutdowns

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Mentor and support Electrical Apprentices, providing hands-on training

  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve recurring issues

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance and process reliability

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid 442A Industrial Electrician or 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician certification

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or commercial environments

  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code

  • Experience with:

    • Electrical controls and distribution systems

    • Sensors, AC/DC motors, and variable speed drives

    • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience mentoring apprentices (preferred)

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, bending, and kneeling

  • Lift and carry materials up to 50–100 lbs

  • Manual dexterity required for use of hand and power tools

  • Work in varying environments, including extreme temperatures (-25°C to 32°C)

  • Occasional travel may be required

  • Ability to work overtime as needed
