Adecco is currently hiring a Financial Analyst for a full-time opportunity in Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting and financial analysis experience who enjoys working closely with operational teams and supporting business performance through detailed reporting and insights.

In this position, you will support the Conventional Operations Finance team by analyzing financial results, preparing monthly reporting, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. You will also play a key role in month-end processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting quality across the business unit.

  • Salary: $60.00–$65.00/hour (T4)

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Employment Type: Full-time | Temporary

Responsibilities

  • Interpret financial operating results including production, royalties, and operating expenses and provide clear explanations

  • Assist with monthly performance management reporting processes

  • Perform monthly finance activities including accruals, cost allocations, journal entries, P&L analysis, and reconciliations

  • Support SOX compliance processes and internal controls

  • Act as a liaison between operational and finance teams to provide financial guidance and support

  • Support budgeting and forecasting for the Conventional business unit

  • Investigate and analyze disputed or audit-related charges with joint venture partners

  • Support long-range planning, acquisitions, and new initiatives

  • Identify process improvement and efficiency opportunities

  • Cross-train with other analysts within the finance team

  • Respond to ad hoc analysis requests and support special projects

Qualifications

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience

  • Oil and gas accounting or reporting experience required

  • Professional accounting designation is an asset

  • Strong analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with SAP and financial reporting systems

  • Strong business and financial acumen

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
