Adecco is currently hiring Industrial Painters & Skilled Labourers for full-time opportunities in Halifax, NS. These roles are ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in industrial environments who enjoy working on large-scale projects in a shipyard setting.

• Salary: $36/hour

• Location: Halifax, NS

• Schedule: Rotating shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM / 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM / 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM)

• Employment Type: Full-time | Temporary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply coatings using sprayer guns

• Perform painting using pot and brush methods

• Work with various materials including metal products, construction materials, and coatings

• Perform surface preparation including solvent cleaning, hand tool cleaning, and power tool cleaning to bare metal

• Complete lead abatement tasks

• Perform general cleaning of shops, facilities, and project areas

• Assist with setup for work on vessels or in the shop

• Perform fire watch and confined space watch duties

• Assist in docking and undocking vessels

• Support team members with general labour tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in Canada

• Must be able to pass a Government Security Clearance/background check

• Full PPE and fit-tested respirator mask required

• Valid Confined Space ticket

• Valid Fall Protection ticket

• WHMIS certification
