Adecco is currently hiring a full-time proactive and creative Event Planner to support one of our clients in delivering high‑quality events and improving the overall member experience. This role is event‑focused with the remaining time dedicated to administrative and operational support.

  • Pay Rate: $31.00 /hour

  • Location: Vaughan, ON

  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:30pm

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Execution (Primary Focus)

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute 4–5 events per year, with responsibility growing to 85–90% ownership of event delivery

  • Manage all aspects of events, including logistics, timelines, materials, vendors, communication, and on‑site coordination

  • Collaborate with leadership to align on event goals, then independently develop and execute event plans

  • Identify opportunities to enhance event experiences through creative ideas and continuous improvement

  • Coordinate event communications and ensure participants are informed before, during, and after events

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Manage ongoing communications with members

  • Send certificates for completed courses and programs

  • Follow up on outstanding payments from contractors

  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including catering, materials, and room setup

  • Support the student chapter program, including organizing trips and events for engineering students

  • Provide general administrative support to day‑to‑day office operations

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ideally 5+ years of experience, or a combination of relevant experience and a diploma in Event Management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; confident, professional, and people‑focused

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with social media and website management, particularly LinkedIn

  • Experience working in an association or non‑profit environment

  • Familiarity with GrowthZone or similar CRM / association management software

  • Exposure to the construction or trades industry

  • Experience managing event platforms or membership databases

  • Highly organized and comfortable working independently

  • Proactive self‑starter who can manage their own workload without constant direction

  • Creative thinker with strong execution skills

  • Detail‑oriented, reliable, and adaptable

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
