Adecco is currently hiring a full-time dependable and motivated Cook / Kitchen Team Member to support daily kitchen operations for our client. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on culinary work, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and takes pride in food quality, safety, and teamwork. Previous kitchen experience is an asset, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

  • Pay Rate: up to $24.00/hour (based on experience)

  • Location: Gold River, BC

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients according to established recipes and menu specifications

  • Cook and assemble menu items during service, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout prep and service

  • Assist with inventory tracking by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages

  • Follow portion control guidelines to support consistency and cost management

  • Participate in daily kitchen setup and end‑of‑shift closing duties, including cleaning and equipment storage

  • Support menu development by preparing and testing new recipe ideas as needed

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and food sanitation standards

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate service

  • Manage waste and recycling responsibly, following sustainable kitchen practices

  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team‑oriented work environment

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset but not required

  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices is an advantage

  • Safe food handling certificate required

  • Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment

  • Reliable, self‑motivated, and team‑focused

  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Valid driver’s license required; access to a vehicle is ideal due to the remote location (not mandatory)

  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal record check

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
