Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time experienced Bilingual Accounts Receivable Specialist for our client in Markham, ON. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with proven experience in collections and customer service who thrives in a fast‑paced environment. You will play a key role in managing accounts receivable activities while delivering a positive and professional customer experience. This role requires you to be fluent in both French and English.

  • Pay Rate: $28.00/hour

  • Location: Markham, ON (REMOTE position)

  • Shift: 9:00am 0 5:00pm | 35h paid per week

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal/external customers and locations.

  • Handle phone calls/emails regarding A/R issues in a professional and effective manner.

  • Process invoices and follow up for payment or secure prepayment, as appropriate.

  • Organize, document, and maintain successful collections.

  • Facilitate mailings with appropriate postage within the designated timelines

  • Verify and create new customer accounts.

  • Accurate processing of credit card payments and appropriate handling of sensitive information.

  • Perform periodic bank deposits.

  • Complete A/R forms related to accounting issues.

  • Additional projects, duties and tasks as assigned.

  • Treat each customer and staff member with courtesy, dignity, and respect of privacy.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Accounts Receivable experience including collections required.

  • Post-Secondary schooling preferred; Bookkeeping/Accounting course an asset.

  • Must be bilingual English/French

  • Proven understanding of basic A/R principles and terminology.

  • Excellent command of the English language; superb oral/written skills including spelling.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills essential. Professional, friendly telephone manner. Ability to follow precise directions.

  • Desire to be a part of a dedicated team that is committed to excellence within their job.

  • An excellent working knowledge of computers including Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet (Word, Excel, Outlook), superior keyboarding skills.

  • Proven ability to perform collection processes while using appropriate customer service skills; successfully maintains appropriate collections within the designated credit terms.

  • Detail oriented, high accuracy levels, able to enter/copy data with 99% accuracy.

  • Able to perform repetitive tasks that require attention to detail with proficiency.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and within strict deadlines, independently and as a team.

  • Professional manner and appearance; adheres to all policies and procedures.

  • Energetic with strong initiative, work ethic and positive attitude.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
