Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Food & Beverage Manager to lead front‑of‑house and beverage operations for a full‑service restaurant located in a remote coastal community in Gold River, BC. This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in small teams, values genuine guest connection, and can balance service excellence with daily operational responsibilities. The role works closely with the Chef/Kitchen Manager to deliver a welcoming and consistent dining experience for both locals and visitors.

  • Pay Rate: $80k TO $85k/annually (negotiable)

  • Location: Gold River, BC

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

  • Relocation Assistance Available

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Service

  • Deliver exceptional, friendly, and consistent guest service

  • Act as the primary guest contact during service periods

  • Address guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally and promptly

  • Build strong relationships with regular guests and the local community

Front‑of‑House Operations

  • Oversee daily front‑of‑house and bar operations

  • Establish service standards and ensure team adherence

  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper setup of all guest areas

  • Manage reservations, seating flow, and service pacing

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • Hire, train, schedule, and motivate front‑of‑house team members

  • Lead pre‑shift meetings, coaching, and performance feedback

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team‑oriented work environment

  • Step into service roles as required, including floor service, bar, or hosting

Beverage & Inventory Management

  • Manage the beverage program including ordering, inventory, and controls

  • Maintain beer, wine, and spirits standards

  • Ensure responsible service and compliance with provincial liquor regulations

  • Monitor costs, waste, and product rotation

Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Assist with budget oversight and cost control initiatives

  • Review sales performance and labour requirements

  • Complete basic reporting and administrative tasks

  • Support promotions, events, and seasonal programming

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in food and beverage or hospitality management

  • Strong front‑of‑house and guest service background

  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on role within a small team

  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills

  • Experience with inventory management, scheduling, and service standards

  • Valid Serving It Right certification (or ability to obtain)

  • Ability and willingness to adapt to the lifestyle and pace of a remote community

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
