Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Social Worker to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychosocial assessments and case formulation for children and adolescents experiencing behavioural, socio-emotional, and mental health challenges
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy
- Work collaboratively with caregivers to deliver dynamic, family-centered interventions
- Provide consultation and recommendations to families
- Liaise with referring physicians, Boomerang Health clinicians, school staff, and external agencies
- Apply evidence-based approaches to intervention
- Manage a varied caseload while meeting required timelines
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD from a program recognized by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- Relevant coursework and clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families
- Knowledge of child and adolescent psychosocial development and psychopathology
Experience and Skills:
- Experience working with pediatric mental health concerns
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and work independently
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in evidence-based intervention approaches
- High attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage children, youth, and adults
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in challenging situations
- Experience with virtual care platforms
