Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Social Worker to join our dedicated team. This position offers a unique opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about working in pediatrics, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, and seeking ongoing professional growth and skill development.

The ideal candidate will be interested in providing intervention for a broad range of mental health conditions within a pediatric population. Strong applicants are high energy, demonstrate a positive attitude, and are passionate about supporting youth aged 6 to 18 and their families. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychosocial assessments and case formulation for children and adolescents experiencing behavioural, socio-emotional, and mental health challenges
  • Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy
  • Work collaboratively with caregivers to deliver dynamic, family-centered interventions
  • Provide consultation and recommendations to families
  • Liaise with referring physicians, Boomerang Health clinicians, school staff, and external agencies
  • Apply evidence-based approaches to intervention
  • Manage a varied caseload while meeting required timelines
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD from a program recognized by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
  • Relevant coursework and clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent psychosocial development and psychopathology

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience working with pediatric mental health concerns
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and work independently
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in evidence-based intervention approaches
  • High attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage children, youth, and adults
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in challenging situations
  • Experience with virtual care platforms
