Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Senior Analyst to support collateral management operations of the RBC ICL Investment Group within RBC ICL. The ideal candidate will provide positive advice and counsel for collateral trade operations and agreement administration for insurance products and derivatives while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. This role is essential for ensuring effective collateral trade management and governance, maintaining strong risk controls, and supporting strategic decision-making.

What will you do?

  • Support management and administration of collateral agreements for longevity swaps and other complex derivatives

  • Review and monitor Credit Support Annex (CSA) documentation and ongoing compliance for derivative transactions

  • Monitor collateral/ margin calls and advice for RBC ICL when deviations from policy or limits are encroaching

  • Partner with Research & Asset Allocation and Trading teams to generate positive advice and counsel ideas for local mind and management for collateral allocation and optimization

  • Partner with TIDAL and Total Fund Management team to ensure accurate collateral reporting and data integrity

  • Partner with Finance Operations to ensure appropriate settlement, reconciliation, and operational risk management

  • Provide analytical input into collateral governance frameworks, and liquidity discussions

  • Prepare reports and present collateral strategies, risk considerations, and governance updates to senior management

  • Support regulatory and internal risk reporting processes; prepare daily desk position, P&L, and risk metrics

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience with exposure to derivatives in a front office, treasury or trading floor context

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex financial data

  • Demonstrated stakeholder management experience across trading and settlement functions

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-have

  • Proven expertise managing CSA agreements and collateral transactions for derivatives

  • Knowledge of collateral frameworks, regulatory requirements, and market best practices

  • Completion of, or working toward, FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential

  • Experience with longevity swaps or insurance-linked derivatives

  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Murex, or other trade management systems

  • Knowledge of IFRS 9 or IFRS 17 accounting standards

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00
