Being an Associate Regional Manager for the Québec City region and Eastern Québec means being responsible for achieving the business unit's objectives by supporting the territory's wealth management advisors through your coaching. This position reports to the Vice-President and Regional Manager, National Bank Financial, Wealth Management ("NBFWM")

National Bank Financial – Wealth Management is one of the largest securities brokerage firms in Canada. There are nearly 850 wealth management advisors in over 100 branches who manage the assets of nearly 300,000 individual clients.

Your job:

  • Execute business plans developed by the Regional Manager while removing obstacles that undermine the effectiveness of the sales force
  • Manage a group of advisors in order to maximize productivity and revenue opportunities
  • Act as a resource person for advisors under your responsibility and be responsible for communicating strategic objectives and organizational information
  • Manage the performance of advisors by evaluating their activities, facilitating the creation of business plans and coordinating access to training for other partners
  • Manage front-line communications and resolve day-to-day issues
  • Act as an ambassador for NBFWM in the region and internally by participating in community events and corporate partnerships
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with the organization's policies and procedures
  • Act as a leader in collaboration with the compliance supervisor to meet various related regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate and provide feedback to improve the quality of customer service and the customer experience in the region
  • Establish performance objectives for associates, sales assistants and the administrative team, evaluate their performance and provide them with feedback or indicate corrective measures to be taken, if necessary

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree related to the sector of activity and 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in brokerage, including 4 years of experience supervising and managing the capacity of a large team of advisors
  • Client-centric, significant business development skills and in-depth knowledge of the industry
  • Excellent relationship management, partner management and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to find concrete solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to act as a mediator and facilitate work within large groups
  • Superior oral and written communication skills

 

Desired skills:

  • Completion of the CSI Investment Dealer Supervisors Course (IDSC), the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) Course
  • Registration with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO)
