Job Purpose

 

Accountable for analyzing credit submissions from the Direct or indirect sales group and other channels as requested while exercising good judgment in providing approvals for qualified loans/leases within assigned lending limits. Assists with development and delivery of equipment loan/lease training process, including system training. Also acts as a primary resource to sales personnel with respect to credit policies and procedures. Conducts an ongoing Quality Control Audit of new and existing Equipment loan/lease underwriting.

 

This role has an end date of December 31st, 2026. The team currently works hybrid remote and meets in office 1-2 times per month based on business needs. Our head off is located at 9900 King George Blvd, Surrey, British Columbia. The shift time is Tuesday-Saturday 10:30 am - 7:00 pm PT with flexibility to cover other shifts based on business needs.

 

Accountabilities

 

Administration

  • Conducts random audits. Ensures appropriate action is taken in regard to results, i.e.: documentation, follow up, and reporting.
  • Maintains regular contact and a reciprocal relationship on behalf of the CTG with various outside agencies and related offices (e.g.: Law Firms, Brokers, other Credit Unions etc).

 

Communication 

  • Effectively communicates credit decisions to applicable staff in a clear, concise and respectful manner.

 

Customer Focus

  • Provides timely and accurate application ajuducation as detailed in the SLA

 

Operations

  • Lending limits up to $250,000.00 dependant on experience level and aptitude

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 – 3 Years of Job-Related Experience
  • High School Diploma plus completion of a Certificate Program (equivalent to one full year or 10 courses).
  • Successful completion of all in-house commercial /equipment Lending courses, or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert understanding of the Loans Origination System.
  • Proficient knowledge of PC’s; including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of presentation equipment and software.
  • Expert understanding of Compass Application System
  • Advanced financial services background.
  • Expert knowledge of all aspects and functions of CTG lease/ lending products, polices and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management as it relates to credit underwriting
  • Expert interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Willingness to work on a team in a busy, ever changing, and occasionally stressful environment.
  • Advanced organizational and time management abilities.
