Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced and driven Project Manager – Commercial & Light Industrial to lead multiple construction projects from initial concept through to final close?out for our client in Edmonton, AB. This role oversees all phases of the project lifecycle—including design, permitting, procurement, scheduling, and on?site construction activities—while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
In this role you will manage subcontractor contracts, oversee RFIs and change orders, maintain budgets, process invoices, and provide regular reporting to the executive team. This role also contributes to the continuous improvement of project management tools, workflows, and organizational best practices. Creativity, leadership, and a passion for safety are essential to success.

Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
Oversee multiple concurrent commercial and light industrial construction projects from design to completion.
Lead design reviews and page-turning sessions with stakeholders; manage approval and sign?off processes.
Coordinate permitting, procurement, and all pre?construction activities.
Manage subcontractor contracts, including issuing tenders, reviewing bids, and handling RFIs and change orders.
Scheduling & Quality Management
Own the project schedule; identify critical path activities and opportunities to accelerate timelines.
Ensure strict adherence to Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes.
Work closely with testing agencies and consultants to confirm compliance with project standards.
Financial Oversight & Reporting
Maintain full ownership of project budgets and monitor performance through key KPIs.
Review and process trade and vendor invoices accurately and on time.
Provide regular status updates and performance reports to the executive team.
Collaboration & Communication
Schedule and participate in regular on?site and virtual project meetings.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members.
Support the development and refinement of project management tools, processes, and best practices.
Continuous Improvement
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance construction processes and finished project quality.
Encourage innovation, creative problem?solving, and improved constructability across all project phases
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial or industrial construction.
Proven experience with Design-Build projects across commercial and light industrial sectors.
Strong understanding of modern building systems, construction materials, and building codes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex project schedules.
Advanced knowledge of estimating, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, direct, and inspire project teams.
Ability to anticipate constructability challenges and develop innovative solutions.
Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and ability to perform in a fast?paced environment.
Results-driven mindset with strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
