Position: Loans Services Manager #LI-Hybrid

Compensation Details:
- Finance Operations 15: Salaries typically range from $65,172 to $86,898 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
Location:
- Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, with a current requirement of two in-office days per week, increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change).
- This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa.
- Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Team Overview:
We are currently building a pool of candidates to fill future vacancies on the team. We are looking for energetic, self-motivated and resourceful candidate for the role of Loans Services Manager. The Loans Operations team, within the framework of EDC and Finance Values, is responsible for the efficient management of all EDC financing products from point of signing to final repayment. Loans Operations strives to preserve, grow and ensure the well-being and success of customers, partners and EDC by delivering services in a culture of predictability, accuracy and dependability. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated professional who will actively participate in the attainment of the team's objectives to ensure effective and timely management of a portfolio of financing transactions.
We are currently recruiting for multiple anticipatory permanent and contact Loan Services Manager roles. This poster may also be used to fill future hiring needs over the next 12 months.
What you will be doing:
- Manages the lifecycle of standard and non-standard financial transactions in a loan and ensures admissibility of disbursements, prompt payment to the customer and repayments from the customer.
- Identifies banking solutions and recommends modifications to the internal payment infrastructure.
- Interprets standard loan documents to create loan structures in the operational system that reflect the particulars of loans.
- Analyses documentation for conformity to loan agreements for the purposes of admissibility of disbursement of funds.
- Manages global payment and settlement systems, ensuring the settlement of all cash flows in and out of the corporation.
- Invoices and collects loan repayments from customers in accordance with agreements.
- Responsible for the lifecycle of loans ensuring appropriate allocation of payments against customers and products or other verification and authorization as required.
- Takes action in accordance with corporate strategies developed for risk mitigation and collection of overdue amounts. (Maintains and reconciles ledger accounts and reports.)
- Handles escalations of less-straightforward customer issues and inquiries.
- Provides accurate and timely data to external and internal stakeholders for management and corporate reporting purposes.
What we are looking for:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance or combination of College diploma and relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in business administration and/or finance operations, or related experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of banking, cash flow management and/or servicing loans.
What will make you stand out:
- Strong preference will be given to bilingual candidates (English and French).
- Experience in Customer Service.
- Experience in the banking industry and/or servicing loans.
- Experience using AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot) to enhance documentation, analysis, or day-to-day operations.
- Professional Designation (i.e. CFA, CPA) or MBA.
