What is the opportunity?

Please note:

This role is aligned to projects & initiatives for all retail branch needs. Therefore, deep knowledge of the branch environment is required along with branch leadership.

Location:

With return to premises, the successful candidate will need live in Winnipeg to work in our Regional Office at 220 Portage Avenue 5 days per week.

Collaborating with the Regional Office and Public Affairs teams under the leadership of the Regional Operating Officer.  This position will help execute, implement and analyze regional and national initiatives across all lines of business to ensure RBC grows profitability faster than its competitors in the Region.


As a Senior Manager, Initiatives & Implementation, you will play a critical role in identifying and strategizing ways in which lead our business on a multitude of fronts.  Strong time management skills, exceptional impact and influence (including the ability to coach up), proactivity, courageous, authenticity, strategic mindset, ability to communicate clearly and effectively, self-managed, collaboration, ability to work well with ambiguity, excels in a fast paced changing environment, proven results and leadership along with a commitment to win are key attributes to the role.

With the Region having a clearly articulated strategy, this individual will take the lead on defined areas within our business that are meant to deliver on our commitment to differentiated, sustained business results.

  • Supports the strategic direction and execution of strategies within the region as decided upon by Regional Operating Officer and Regional President.
  • Provide the region with subject matter expertise and executional excellence to drive and support regional priorities
  • Fully accountable for the coordination and implementation of initiatives across business strategies.
  • For Lines of Business and Role areas of accountability, collaborate with partners (Regional, National Office) to identify gaps with corresponding strategies and activities to close them
  • Integrates appropriate change management support and elements into initiatives and communications.
  • Leverage RBC partners within the Region to develop better solutions & achieve differentiated results
  • Believes deeply in our value of winning as One RBC.  Demonstrates this by engaging and involving others with the appropriate levels of impact and influence.
  • Effectively communicate and reinforce RBC Vision, National Office and local strategic direction, organizational values and implementation plans
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the value of coaching and builds personal development plans, with the support of the ROO, to ensure skills, knowledge and capabilities are in place to the meet the changing work/requirements in the role.
  • Lives the Leadership Model in all aspects of work

Must-have

  • Organizational Awareness / Effective stakeholder management

  • Knowledge & experience in Word, Excel and Power Point, including developing effective communication plans

  • Proven Facilitation / Presentation Skills
