A career as a Senior manager within the Capital Markets Operations team at National Bank means putting your expertise to work on the evolution and execution of the Capital Markets and Wealth Management business strategy. This role allows you to play a key part in aligning strategy, operations, and business partners, while making a tangible impact through your expertise in over the counter (OTC) derivatives, operational management, and team leadership.

Your role
  • Lead and engage a team of approximately 18 professionals to ensure the effective and rigorous delivery of operational activities related to OTC derivatives
  • Oversee and continuously enhance practices related to trade capture, legal confirmations, and transaction life cycle management across multiple systems
  • Optimize, streamline, and improve day to day operational processes, including the integration of new products and the implementation of audit recommendations
  • Develop and maintain controls and tools to ensure high quality standards and mitigate operational risks
  • Work closely with internal business partners to ensure clear communication and execution aligned with strategic priorities
  • Act as a subject matter expert and actively contribute to cross functional initiatives and key sector wide projects
Your team
Within the OTC derivatives sector, you are part of a large team of approximately 140 colleagues and report to the Senior Director, OTC. Our team stands out for its deep expertise in derivatives products, its close collaboration with trading teams, and its ability to deliver robust operational solutions in a constantly evolving environment. We aim to offer you maximum flexibility to support your quality of life, including a hybrid work environment and adaptable working hours.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience, or
    Master’s degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience
  • Proven expertise in OTC derivatives products and Capital Markets Operations
  • Significant experience leading teams in a complex operational environment
  • Strong experience in process improvement and operational control management
  • Experience contributing to transformation initiatives or change management efforts within an organizational context
  • Availability to travel occasionally to Toronto and Calgary
