| Unit/Project Description:
| We are seeking a Research Laboratory Technician (II) to join the Burns Research team! Working with Dr. Marc Jeschke, you will be a key member of the Centre for Burn Research, supporting ongoing research projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory experiments, processing and analyzing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and assisting with data collection and documentation. This role includes opportunities to support manuscript preparation, contribute to collaborative research initiatives, and mentor trainees in laboratory techniques.
About the Lab Vascular, and Stroke Research Institute (DBCSVRI), the Centre will serve as a strategic platform for innovation in burn care across the HHS system. The Centre for Burn Research focuses on the development and evaluation of novel burn therapies with a clear mandate to accelerate translation from discovery to bedside. While anchored within HHS, the Centre works collaboratively with McMaster University, to leverage complementary expertise, infrastructure, and training. The Centre for Burn research will strengthen its leadership in complex burn care, enhance its research competitiveness, and create a sustainable framework for innovation that directly improves patient outcomes and supports system-wide excellence in burn treatment.
