The Opportunity

 

McMaster University Hospitality Services is looking for a driven, people-focused Assistant Manager, Operations to help lead daily food service operations on campus. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values team culture, and is passionate about operational excellence and guest experience.


 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and continuously improve daily food service operations
  • Drive sales performance while managing food and labour costs
  • Ensure compliance with operational, financial, and Health & Safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
  • Coach, train, and develop team members
  • Build a positive, engaged team culture and exceptional guest experience

 

What You Bring

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in food service, hospitality, or a university environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience managing budgets, labour, and food costs
  • Comfort using POS systems and computer applications
