Sr. Manager, Product Management | Brampton, ON
A key area of focus includes new features and functionality within the HealthWATCH Pharmacy Management System to support user-requested enhancements, new regulatory requirements and achievement of business benefits. These enhancements will be driven by stakeholders across Loblaw (LCL) and Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM), including end-users within stores. This person will be empowered to work with various stakeholders (Business, Technology) to shape opportunities into small, deliverable units of value in line with product priorities; actively manages his / her product backlog and ensures validation of user/customer feedback; making sure the team successfully delivers business value.
What You’ll Do:
Own the user experience and product direction for their assigned capabilities within the HealthWATCH product
Act as the primary business representative to teams
Work in collaboration with other Product Owners to define epics, MVPs and user stories
Lead value estimation activities
Make on-the-spot decisions regarding scope and requirements
Responsible for the product backlog, story prioritization and defining acceptance criteria
Work with Tech Leads, Developers, and QAs to plan the delivery of work (e.g. sprints)
Validate market response to delivered features using validated Learning
What You Bring:
A minimum of 6 years of product management experience in a software development environment
Understanding of the national pharmacy landscape and key market trends that may impact the HealthWATCH product
Extensive knowledge of product development processes and software development life cycle
The ability to successfully manage competing priorities and to manage parallel work threads as part of a project
Proficiency with MS Office suite of products including Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong influence and teamwork skills
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Robust business acumen and ability to partner with senior business leaders to drive initiatives
The ability to work independently on mid-to-large sized projects with moderate to high degrees of complexity
The ability to build, direct, and influence stakeholders and project teams
Experience with application management and the systems development lifecycle
Prior experience in managing software products through the entire lifecycle – from initial requirements gathering through product release and rollout
Experience managing relationships and being liaison between development teams, client organizations, and other stakeholders throughout the lifecycle
Experience in strategic, tactical, operational and organizational planning
