What you will do

Our Vancouver office is seeking undergraduate business students to join the Mid-Market Investment Banking team as an M&A Analyst Co-op in January 2027.

Corporate finance 

KPMG Corporate Finance Inc. is the Ontario Securities Commission regulated entity through which KPMG LLP's investment banking services are provided in Canada. KPMG's Corporate Finance services are principally comprised of merger, acquisition and divestiture advisory services and financing services including raising debt and equity capital. 

 

We offer independent financial advisory and investment banking services to both private and public companies. Acting independently of financing sources, we provide clients with pure, objective advice, focusing on strategies that can help meet corporate objectives. We have an extensive international network of over 2,600 corporate finance professionals working from 160 offices in 86 countries thus providing KPMG Corporate Finance with a broad local reach and established contacts.

  • Capability to take initiative while working on numerous projects simultaneously and a willingness to be coached and mentored

  • Fundamental interest in business, the capital markets, and the broader M&A and Corporate Finance environment both locally, nationally and internationally

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in finance, commerce, business, accounting, economics, or other related fields

  • Proven track record of success demonstrated through outstanding academic achievement and/or excellent performance reviews in previous professional roles, as appropriate

  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and general understanding of other financial analysis and research tools and how to apply them (including but not limited to CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Pitchbook, Refinitiv, Factiva, IBIS World, Statista, etc.)

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

 

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $49,000 - $60,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
