Adecco is currently hiring a Janitor / Custodian for a full-time position. This opportunity is ideal for a reliable and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and organized environments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire facility, including office and production areas, while supporting overall operational efficiency.

As a Janitor / Custodian, you will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties to uphold facility standards. You will work independently while following safety guidelines and ensuring all cleaning materials and procedures comply with workplace regulations.

• Salary: $21/hour

• Schedule: Full-time | Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning of office and production areas.

• Sweep, mop, polish, vacuum, and shampoo carpeted areas, and maintain cleanliness of halls, offices, boardrooms, restrooms, lunchrooms, and kitchen areas.

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.

• Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and other consumables as needed.

• Prepare and set up boardrooms for meetings, events, or other activities and clean up afterward.

• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals safely and effectively for various tasks.

• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces throughout the facility.

• Maintain the exterior of the facility, including snow removal, lawn care, and litter cleanup as required.

• Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and organized properly.

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, restocking as needed.

• Identify and report any equipment or facility repairs required.

• Ensure compliance with WHMIS and other health and safety regulations related to chemical handling.

• Complete required logs and documentation accurately.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 1 year of custodial or janitorial experience.

• Ability to work independently with strong motivation and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending and crouching.

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.

• Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada.
