Adecco is currently hiring an HR Clerk for a full-time contract position in Ottawa, ON. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized individual with experience in human resources administration who is comfortable working in a structured, government or public service environment.

As an HR Clerk, you will support a variety of administrative and human resources functions, including data entry, document management, and employee support. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, organization, and timely processing of HR-related information.

  • Location: Ottawa, ON (100% onsite)

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

  • Job Type: Full-time | Temporary – 16-week contract

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform document and file management functions

  • Enter and process data in databases and spreadsheets following predetermined formats

  • Complete word processing tasks with attention to formatting and presentation

  • Compose routine correspondence and emails

  • Photocopy, fax, and scan documents as required

  • Maintain Bring-Forward (BF) systems

  • Verify accuracy and completeness of data prior to supervisor review

  • Perform basic research and analyze simple data as required

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding file status, benefits information, and HR policies

  • Obtain and verify information for employee records

Requirements:

  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Secret level security clearance

  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an HR Clerk or HR Associate

  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized Canadian institution

  • Previous experience performing HR-related tasks within a government or public service environment is considered an asset

  • Experience using systems such as ServiceNow, SAP, or SharePoint is considered an asset

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures in a structured environment
