Adecco is currently hiring a Data & Analytics Architect (Cyber Division) for a full-time 12-month contract position in Ottawa, ON. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled data professional with advanced expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Copilot Studio, looking to contribute to high-impact cybersecurity initiatives. In this role, you will support the Cyber Strategy and Awareness team by delivering end-to-end data architecture, analytics, and AI-driven solutions.

As a Data & Analytics Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions, enabling advanced reporting, automation, and AI-assisted analytics. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure secure, governed, and high-performing data environments while promoting responsible AI practices and knowledge sharing across the organization.

  • Location: Ottawa, ON – Hybrid (approximately 3 days per week / 12 times per month onsite)

  • Job Type: Full-time | 12-month temporary contract

  • Pay Rate: $50+/hour, flexible based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Data & Analytics Architect for the Cyber Division, providing end-to-end architecture expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Copilot Studio.

  • Design and deliver high-impact reporting solutions including data ingestion, trusted data repositories, semantic modeling, DAX implementation, and user-friendly dashboards.

  • Optimize report performance and ensure proper governance including endorsements, certification, and data lineage.

  • Design and develop Copilot Studio agents to support data queries and automate workflows using Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft Graph.

  • Implement strong governance and security controls including RBAC and Power Platform Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.

  • Develop AI-assisted analytics solutions while ensuring responsible AI practices including data grounding and evaluation.

  • Implement secure, authenticated data refresh processes using OAuth2, API keys, and REST API integrations, including handling pagination and throttling.

  • Configure and manage on-premises data gateway connections where required.

  • Leverage Copilot in Power BI to accelerate report development and generate insights.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to team members, supporting knowledge transfer and skill development.

  • Support additional deliverables and initiatives as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of advanced experience in Power BI including data modeling, DAX, performance optimization, and governance.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with APIs for analytics, including authentication, pagination, and throttling.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Fabric including Workspaces, Notebooks, Pipelines, OneLake, and SQL Analytics.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience designing and integrating Copilot Studio agents with Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft Graph.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, reporting, and analytics best practices.

  • Experience implementing secure and scalable data solutions.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • Additional Assets:

  • Experience with RTI/KQL and Activator alerting.

  • Experience as a technical lead within a Power BI or Microsoft Fabric Community of Practice.

  • Proven ability to engage with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (minimum 5 years residing in Canada).

  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada.
