Purpose:


The Senior Programmer Analyst will primarily focus on developing and ongoing support of file translation and data reconciliation for business clients. The analyst will be responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of business applications built on Microsoft technologies. The analyst will work closely with the client onboarding team in delivering solutions. 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:


• Support the Senior Manager with department representation in matters of portfolio management, deposit pricing and profitability  
• Build relationships with partners, business lines and sales channels to ensure a robust customer experience is delivered
• Support initiatives that focus on enhancing competitive position, and assess opportunities for application and process improvement
• Develop and maintain desktop-based and web-based applications written in VB and C#.
• Manage projects and initiatives related to ongoing development of GTB products and services and operational improvement by leveraging industry best practices
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Design process flows, document requirements, and test software systems to meet stakeholders’ and regulatory requirements
• Completing other duties as assigned, including ad-hoc assignment or special projects from Senior Management 


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:


• Post-Secondary Education completed in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
• Experience with VB, C#, .Net, Python, MS Access, MS/SQL, XML, shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of relational databases.
• At least 5 years of technical work experience to read and write complex SQL queries.
• Must have excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with front-end web development would be an asset
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, working both independently and within a team environment
• Prior Banking experience is an asset
• Creative, curious, results-oriented, customer-focused, and attentive to details 
• Strong facilitator with ability to lead a team of contributors 
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively and efficiently
• Experience with cash management products, processes, and systems development is an asset
